Rules & Regulations

Participation is open to men and women who are at least 18 years of age.

The Mountain Trail Marathon (23km) will take place on Sunday 6th May in Kassiopi.  Men and women must be over 18 years of age to apply. For the 8kms, men and women must be over 16 years of age.
-The Event will start at 9.30am. at the port of Kassiopi and the maximum time for the totality of the course is fixed at 4.5 hours.  There will be a check point at 12kms in the area of San Stephano, maximum time till this checkpoint is 2.5 hours. Athletes who are not within this time limit continue under their own responsibility.  There will be 3 checkpoints throughout the whole race.
-Runners are required to have their bib number visible at all times or they may be disqualified.
-The course will go through the ecosystem of Erimitis, so athletes are required to respect the natural environment.
-Rubbish bins will be located at all refreshment points, so runners are advised to throw all litter in allocated bins.  Not doing so may lead to their disqualification.
-We, the organisers reserve the right to change the course if we believe it may lead to any form of danger or injury to runners.
-The cost to participate is 20 euro (23km), which will be paid as the bib number is given.  This includes, the number, T-shirt, pasta party at the night before the race, refreshments during race, a medal and packed snack at the end of the race.
-Bib numbers will be given out on Saturday 5th May from 7-9pm. (Square , News Fortress Square – Old Port) and on Sunday 6th May from 7.30-8.30am., at the Committee office which is located at the harbour of Kassiopi.  Entries open from 14th February and will be open till Sunday 29th of April.
-Entries for the 8km race and 1,200m will open 20th February and will be accepted until 1 hour before starting time.
-The cost for the 8km is 10 euro, this also includes, bib number, refreshments during the race, medal and packed snack at the end.
-For the 1,200 metres, children from ages 10-16 are allowed and this is free of charge.
